One Day, One Stage; A Celebration of Local Music at Summerset Fest '25
With Flight, Rust and Reverb, the Crow Catchers, Bonnie and the Bare Bones and more... Join us for a fun-filled day in Creston
THE CONCEPT
When my Fiancé brought me to Millennium Park for the first time the entire setting took me by surprise. This small park near downtown had such a charm to it, only adding to the appeal of the place I would soon call home. Walking through the park I noticed a roofline towards the back of the park and asked her "What's this?" she says "There's a stage back there"
I hurried to the back and discovered this charming little seating area carved in to the park with this rustic little stage just asking for live music. I immediately jumped on stage and said "I wanna play here!" We kept the idea back of mind until a year or so later when we mentioned it to a friend in passing, and she jumped on the idea.
BRINGING THE IDEA TO LIFE
New to the Creston Valley and even newer in the local music scene, we thought the best way to do this would be to include a number of other live acts and make a day out of it. We've got a number of bands that we know Creston is gonna love, along with several solo artists on the bill to make this an unforgettable event.
MY SET
I've been working on a looper live set for several years now. It started with a hardware looping pedal and a little curiosity, now I have an improved system closer to something Ed Sheeran or Daniel Seavey would use. But essentially it records one instrument at a time and puts them all under live control via footpedals. If you wanna see it in action check out the HATE ME video live from Rhythms and Riffs.
We are gonna have food and drinks, face painting, and a day of live, local music in the gorgeous setting of the Millennium Park mini-bowl. We are so excited to see you all there!
